Fun Fact of the Month

Did you know that Proctor Elementary School was originally built in 1917? That is why you see many marble structures in the building; the marble industry brought a lot of business and constructors used the resources they had available. The school has since gone under many improvements and additions, but the original character can still be seen throughout. Who knew the school was 104 years old? Additionally, Proctor Jr./Sr. High School wasn’t built until 1952, also from locally mined marble.
