Students were able to enjoy a 4-day weekend, but upon walking into their classrooms, they seemed ready and energized to start right back into their work. We asked some of the students what they did over the weekend. Grace expressed spending a lot of time outside and relaxing. Blake also said he spent some time outdoors, but also did “not a whole lot”. It seemed as though the students were more focused on the work ahead of them than sharing their adventures from the weekend (or maybe just tired!). Some classes were working on math skills, such as division, while others continued to hone in their skills in teamwork during P.E. class. Our students are uniquely amazing, striving hard each day, even after a long weekend of fun and relaxation.
